SALT

“You are the salt of the arets, but if the salt becomes tasteless, how shall itbe seasoned?  For it is no longer of any use but to be thrown out and to be trodden down by men.” Mat. 6:13

Dabbling with pagan customs is a common among even the Natsarim.

Have you done or know someone who:

Goes to a birthday party to honor someone because they would get their feelings hurt.

Shows up at the family gathering around the Nimrod tree.

Sends a greeting card to acknowledge a pagan custom.

Climbing to the top of a pagan idol’s statue.

Reading a horoscope.  Horror scope more like it.

Attending a “sun rise” ceremony.  Hmmmm wonder what that could be?

Statue of Joseph in your car or in your yard to help sell your house

Shaking your head in agreement with someone who is voicing the J-man, we need to correct them.

Using words like “That was bad luck.” “fortune” “Natural” (This refers to the earth mother and gives it all honor for creation) “Knock on wood”

Crossing fingers.  (I had a good friend say she was crossing her fingers and I failed to correct her. I didn’t want to hurt her feelings, but Yahusha’s feelings were hurt.)

I recently had a text conversation with a man that wanted to point out positions of the stars to look for a coming event.  I reminded him that we are not to look to the heavens for anything. The zodiac is straight from Satan. His excuse is to use something people are familiar with to bring attention to the return of Yahusha.

This is dabbling.  Pointing to pagan customs to teach about the Creator is not the way.  He said to have nothing to do with their ways.  We really are set apart and cannot “dabble” or touch any unclean thing or tradition.

“The salt is good, but if the salt becomes tasteless, with what shall it be seasoned? It is not fit for land, nor for manure, they throw it out. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!” Luke 14:34
